checking power at the speakers?

on my 99 Blazer one of my back speakers is not working ! I was wondering if I can remove the door cover and use a test light to check the speaker wires ? to do this I need to turn the radio on to test the power at the speaker wires ? I think I need all 4 speakers to tell you the truth ! another thing if the speakers are weak, would that cut down on the loudness ? thanks a lot guys for your help !

There won't be enough power to light up a test light in the speaker wires. Try swapping a working speaker with a non working one. If the working speaker works where the non working one was, and the non working one still doesn't work, then the radio is fine and you have one bad speaker. If it is opposite, the radio is bad.
