How can I delete information sent by a politician in Alabama that has the identical name as a facebook friend of mine.?

you cannot delete information that someone else posts... if i'm understanding your question correctly, you can just block the polition if it annoys you when it's in your news feed

On Facebook or Email ?

If its Email you just click on the Delete Button on the Message

If its on Facebook

Go to the Message on the Actions Bar click on it then Click Delete Messages and Select the Message you want to Delete or Click Delete Conversation to get rid of the Whole Thing

If its something that was sent on someone Else's Facebook that you can not Delete not Possible Unfortunately

Google gmail lets you do this with a filter. Just go to a message where you want to block the sender. In the message go to the top row, click "more" and then "filter"
