Why are most resteraunts servers women?

Discrimination still goes on, women or effeminate men are front of house and if any big and burly people are hired they work out of sight in the kitchen, even McDonalds do this. How they get around discriminating is, they advertise for a "crew" or a "team member" and don't say where the vacancy is, pretending that they train people on everything when they don't, then they interview a bunch of people, if there are kitchen vacancies the ugly ones get the job and if there are only front of house positions available then the twinkle toes candidates get it. It makes people feel really bad about not getting a simple job but it's not them, it's just that their face didn't fit into where they had the vacancy.

In high-end restaurants, there are far more men servers.

Women are often servers because the schedule allows them flexibility so they can take care of the children from their deadbeat ex.

You're not fooling anyone. You don't tip because you're cheap. And "your day" must have been in the 1950s or before because strip clubs have been around since then.

it's a relatively low skill job in which female anatomy brings in better tips [at least in middle class and lower places]. Ergo, most servers, esp. in places are are more bar than restaurant, are women [and usually younger ones at that].
