on the side of the road? My friend and I often see one shoe on the side of the road and we wonder how it happens.

yes down the trash chute of an old fashioned movie theater...the kind that was under the seats in every row and led down to the bins below. damned manager would not send anyone down there to get it...one of my brand new loafers. I had to ride the bus home with my two girlfriends in a pair of cheap bedroom slippers we bought at a nearby store. my mom gave them hell on he phone when we got home...but I never saw that shoe again
