KEEP ON GOING AND PUT ON THE ARMOR OF GOD AND ASK HIM FOR STRENGTH AND GUIDANCE...PRAY TWICE DAILY WHEN ALONE OR MORE...I ALSO DO INSTANT PRAYERS SUCH AS WHEN HEARING AN AMBULANCE OR FIRE TRUCK.

find a new church. This one's mixing politics with religion. It is often true, though, that people get resistance when they try to manage other people's personal business--your preacher may be confused about that.

1 Thessalonians 3:4. For verily, when we were with you, we told you before that we should suffer tribulation; even as it came to pass, and ye know.
Matthew 24:7-10.For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.
Mark 10:30.But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.
2 Timothy 3:12.Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.
Psalm 59:1-4.To the chief Musician, Altaschith, Michtam of David; when Saul sent, and they watched the house to kill him.} Deliver me from mine enemies, O my God: defend me from them that rise up against me. Deliver me from the workers of iniquity, and save me from bloody men. For, lo, they lie in wait for my soul: the mighty are gathered against me; not for my transgression, nor for my sin, O LORD.
This is for all pastor. You call yourself a man of God Shame on you.
.Matthew 7:1-5.1 “Do not judge, or you too will be judged.
2 For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.
3 “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?
4 How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye?
5 You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.
Hope this scripture help God Bless.

per·se·cu·tion
ˌpərsəˈkyo͞oSH(ə)n
noun
hostility and ill-treatment, especially because of race or political or religious beliefs.
"her family fled religious persecution"
synonyms: oppression, victimization, maltreatment, ill-treatment, mistreatment, abuse, ill-usage, discrimination, tyranny;
persistent annoyance or harassment.
"his persecution at the hands of other students"
It amazes me how people here deny that persecution of Christians exists when they see what goes on in this very forum every day. We rarely can counsel each other, share a thought, or even answer a question actually directed to us without being thumbed down, called names, being accused of lying, etc. We are trying to share the gospel and spread truth but we are met with opposition at every turn. That's persecution. In face to face encounters with people, we can get called old fashioned or worse, be laughed at and/or dismissed when we talk about living according to God's commandments. The advice is to stand strong knowing that you have the truth and that God will reward you in this life and the next. Remember what Jesus said https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matth...

It depends on where you are in the world. There are still places today where Christians are being persecuted.* There are still places in the world where Christians are doing the persecuting.
*And yet there are those vapid little twits who think saying "Happy Holidays" constitutes a "war on Christmas."

Yeah: you're more likely to get persecuted for making up tales.

Advice? Yes: Start taking what your preacher tells you with a silo of salt. He's not really the brightest bulb.

trust in God and lean on God's wisdom, dear. I did that and now i can take on the atheists and expose their fallacies, leaving them with nothing but names and insults, dear. They hate it when you expose the fallacies they use. Some atheists aren't intelligent at all though dear, and they'll try to prop up a failed fallacy with another fallacy, dear which i expose, enraging them even more. Atheism, by many accounts, is very stupid, dear.

Ask him to define "persecution".
Someone simply disagreeing with you wouldn't be persecution, but assaulting you or causing some other harm or restriction on you would be.
