How about this OT scenario?

Update:

Team A receives the OT kickoff and goes on to score a FG.

Team A then attempts and recovers an onside kick. They then go on to score a TD.

Would that be game over? Team B never had a possession, but it is now impossible for them win on a single possession.

According to NFL rules, it isn’t just possessions but opportunities to possess the ball. So if a team loses an onside kick, they are considered to have already had an opportunity to possess the ball.

I think it is over, because when the other team kickoff the ball, that signals that the other team is getting possession if the other team messes up and and doesn't get possession, they wasted their possession and game over.

Actually the game prob would be over when Team A recovered the onside kick.
