What do think about giving money to trick-or-treaters? How much would you give to each costumed kid?
Long ago, some people would drop coins--pennies, nickels, dimes--into our trick-or-treat bags. Now, I usually make goody bags with candy, a small toy, and a small calendar or note card. This year, I'm thinking of putting in a quarter or a golden dollar instead of the small toy, but golden dollars, of course, are more expensive, and it might tempt other kids to steal. I think a quarter would be more palatable. Of course, if they don't open the bag outdoors, no one will know what's in the bag!

I remember getting change at the bottom of my trick-or-treat bag when I was a kid. Ages ago, though - haha. If you're making a goody bag for kids you know, maybe put a quarter in it? I don't think it's as acceptable these days to give change to all trick-or-treaters, though. Small toys or fake tattoos might be fun.
