Should royal families be phased out ?
I just think the whole concept is dated and pretty harsh on the actual royals.
Like the kids for example

What you think and what the majority of the people of the country think are two different things. So that proves what you think is irrelevant and means nothing.

Yes they are a total waste of space and nothing more than parasites leeching off the hard working tax payers.

Only if the majority of the people of the country wanted to phase them out. There is no real argument for the abolishment of our Royalty here in the U.K.

Yes, they are irrelevant, so are their supporters, they are too expensive to the tax payer, and they are unaccountable, they are a very bad idea on so many different levels.

All kids should be phased out. Especially the ones playing on computers after they should be getting ready for bed, what with school in the morning!

If the majority of the people in a given country want their monarchy to be abolished or "phased out" (I'm not quite sure how that would work), then yes. If not, no. It's up to the local population.
As for the children, most of the time they lead normal lives. Prince George in the UK goes to school every day like other children; he leads an almost entirely private life. And young people who'd prefer not to grow up to become king or queen, assuming they are directly in line and close to the throne, can eventually decide not to reign if that's really what they want.
