Should I give my national insurance number to a UK recruitment agency over the phone?

How can they use my details against me?

I tried googling the number I got called from and it said call centre on Google.

But no address and the recruitment agency 3rd scientific doesn't exist in Google.

Why do recruitment agencies keep asking for national insurance?

Your national insurance number isn't exactly confidential, they can't do anything bad to you with it.

Above is an example of a real answer, an example of a sh!t answer would be the dribble you posted on my question. Saw your other question and couldn't comment, but if you care so much about your friend's joint mortgage with his girlfriend then why don't you go sleep with him? leave your friend alone he's not dating you so why does it matter?
