because her husband is missing or legally dead but might actually be alive?

Nothing, she is still his wife until courts declare him dead, usually after 7 years of him being missing.

Widow, if the man has been declared legally dead. If he's just missing but presumed dead, she's the wife of a man who is missing and presumed dead. There is no other term for it.
