(Gateway unavailable) Internet shuts off randomly without warning after setting up a new ASUS router.?
It seems just to be an issue for me on this one pc and not any other devices connected. This is also the pc I used to set up the router. Like I said the internet just randomly shuts off for me now on this pc only, without rhyme or reason, it could happen again within 5 mins or 12 hours. I can trouble shoot network and it will bring me back online but it doesn't solve the issue.
The router is a AC3100 RT-AC88U. Also the pc having issues is using ethernet. When I lose internet and try to access the router I get this message "Settings have been updated. Web page will now refresh.
Changes have been made to the IP address or port number. You will now be disconnected from RT-AC88U.
To access the settings of RT-AC88U, reconnect to the wireless network and use the updated IP address and port number."
It's also listed as "Network 2" so not sure if its having issues identifying or something. I've tried resetting the router, I've tried using these commands
netsh winsock reset
netsh int ip reset
ipconfig/release
ipconfig/renew
ipconfig/ flushdns
But nothing seems to work. It's the same result every time may try another router at this rate. I have no clue why this pc only won't work with the router properly.
The router starts with 192.168 and the TCP/IPv4 is set to obtain.
Firmware Version is 3.0.0.4.384_32799
Also I meant to type "Default gateway unavailable" for the title. Thats what it says when I trouble shoot before it fixes it self for a while.

I had a similar problem with my router Asus RT68U. It was cured when I disabled Auto channel control in the wifi section. This stops it hunting for the best available wifi channel. Although you are connected via ethernet, I think when it changes the wifi channel this triggers this message and a wifi reconnect request .Also Asus release regular firmware updates so it is worth checking this as well

That's definitely not a normal series of messages to get. The best thing I can come up with is to verify the DHCP settings of "Network 2's" TCP/IPv4 properties and make sure they're set to:
"Obtain...".
Then connect to your router's interface and verify the DHCP settings it's using. Update your post with your router's IP and DHCP info (just make sure your IPs start with 192.168 or 10.) so that we can verify things look good. Again, IPs that start with 10.x.y.z or 192.168.x.y are not secret because almost everyone uses the same ones.

Sounds weird, but maybe you have something infesting your PC. Do some virus scans (MalwareBytes, other free apps) to make sure. If that doesn't turn up anything, review the Startup programs by typing 'startup apps' in the Search Box.
