What's your States minimum wage and what's the cost of living?

It’s $7.25 in NC. Of course, cost of living across the state can be very, very different. I’m in a county that’s rural, but not too rural with a family of 3. So. Let’s see.

I usually spend about $200 a week on everything that isn’t a “bill.” So groceries, gas, clothes, pet food, diapers, etc. That’s living on a budget, but a comfortable one. Mortgage is $1400/mth or $323/week. Health Insurance for 3 is $700/mth or $162/week. At minimum wage 40 hours a week, my take home would be about $220 a week. If that puts it in perspective.
