When Prince Andrew served in the parachute regiment was the time allowance between him and the other guy jumping before and after him?

lengthened to protect him, endangering the lives of the other regular guys by shortening their time allowance

    He was a serving naval officer who flew helicopters during the Falklands campaign, never served in the Paras

    I suspect that, like other military royals, he did not "serve" in the conventional way.

    They made him jump first, usually having to push him out. They did this so they could all have a good chuckle at the lardy unpopular one. He had to use a parachute at least twice the size of a normal one, due to his obesity.

    Prince Andrew was not a member of the Parachute regiment, he used to fly a slow helicopter in hostile waters off the Falklands. Flying a workhorse type helicopter in hostile airspace is normally a fast ticket to the next world. If he did a parachute course as part of his pilot training, it would have been kind of optimistic, because a stricken helicopter has the aerodynamic properties of a chip pan.
