Why in the last two years has anti semitism seen a sharp rise? This is not OK. Why is this happening?

A Republinazi Dictator rose to power through Election Malfeasance thus embolding racists. Crooked Donald need only ask Putin for Russian troops.

Because President Trump, although not personally antisemitic, has made hate and racism and prejudice much more socially acceptable.

I don't think there has been an increase in anti-semitism. What there is an increase in is people feeling freer in today's atmosphere to express it - and act upon it. They are all coming out from under the rocks they've been hiding under and have seen they have more company than they thought they had. That makes them "braver" about spewing their hatred. Unfortunately it isn't limited to hatred against the Jews - it is against anyone who is different from them.

I blame Trump for fostering this rhetoric.

In the US it's because Trump. It's pure irony that his son-in-law is Jewish, and that his daughter is a convert, because his dog-whistle rhetoric is a green light to racist haters and bigots on both sides; on both sides. Mexicans are all murderers, rapists, and drug mules. The Honduran caravan is full of terrorists and MS-13 members (never mind the utter lack of evidence for either claim). Any dark-skinned person is from a shithole country, but Norwegians are fine fellows. Nazis on the streets are okay because they're the right color. It's a disgrace.

Ignorant anti-Semitism has always been around. Trumpery and the Trumpkins have simply created an atmosphere, an environment, in which anti-Semites feel that they can express their poisonous ignorance about Jews. I've seen a rise in online racism and misogyny, too, in the past couple of years.

Of course, these same little creeps wouldn't dare do it openly, to someone's face. They're big brave bigots only when they can hide behind screen names online.
