Is the problem with Religion the fact that it has people?
We are here by His Grace. We are saved by His Grace through Faith.
To tell Him "here I am take me or leave me" is exactly what He is saying.
Here I am take Me or leave Me.

No the problem is not opening our hearts to become one with Christ; He will accept everyone who comes to Him who is genuine in their faith. Blessed are the poor in spirit - as these ones recognize Him as their answer for everything. We need Christ to rise above the religious mindset.

I am confused. Your question doesn't match the details in the statements you are making. What does "problem people/religion" have to do with telling God to accept you as you are?

In a way. But the problem with people is evil and temptation. We are born with concupiscence; which is an ardent, usually sensual, longing. In Catholic theology, concupiscence is seen as a desire of the lower appetite contrary to reason.
But, as far as I can see, Jesus didn't say,"here I am take me or leave me." He said "follow me," and "take up your cross." He had specific ways in which a person can follow him. He set up a plan on Earth to be followed by us. That is what the original Christian religion is. It would only be reasonable to follow that religion in order to properly follow Jesus and take up your cross.
If we all were to do that, then much evil would be eradicated and we wouldn't have this "problem" you describe.
God Bless You.

The problem was resolved by C.S. Lewis who wrote,
There are only two kinds of people in the end – those who say to God, ‘Thy will be done’ and those to whom God says, ‘Thy will be done.’ [Mere Christianity]

Why all the random capitalizations? In any case the problem with religion is that it's a scam and a sham since there is no god. Get real, Neil.

Yes. No religious people, no religion, no problem.

No. The problem is that it has people who use religion for their own personal gain.

I am not here by his grace. Certainly not.
There are no gods and there is no afterlife. You should try to distinguish more clearly between religious fiction and reality.
