I have struggled with this ever since my 20's (I'm now 44). Castor oil will do nothing (like most home remedies or "potions" that you read about on the internet). There are only 2 products on the market that have been PROVEN to do anything for thinning hair and they are finasteride (commonly marketed as Proscar or Propecia) and minoxidil (commonly marketed as Rogaine). Both treatments work to help slow down or halt the balding process, but will do little to restore lost hair. In order to restore lost hair, you will need to undergo a hair transplant. I've had 2 procedures myself and it has restored my hair to fullness again.

Castor oil DOES NOT grown hair. If it did, no one would be hairless. Duh.

  • Male pattern baldness, where your hair thins at the crown and recedes at the temples, is caused by testosterone. Hairiness is for wimps.

Never had blading hair but I am a barber that knows castor oil would not work because the molecule is too big to penetrate the scalp which is where the problem lies. The only thing clinically proven to work for hair loss is Finasteride, Minoxidil, and tesla current to shock the follicles into growth if they are not totally dead.
