Russian tourist visa.?

Planing to go to Russia next year. What is the least and second least expensive way to obtain a visa? Most 3rd parties ask for around $ 250.00. Thank you very much.

Going straight to a Russian Consulate is for sure the best and cheapest way to get a Russian tourist visa.

Apply directly to russian Government. Do NOT use third parties as they will charge you for the visa AND their fee

See the website for the Russian consulate nearest your home. You apply directly with the consulate as only consulates can issue visas. And there's no agent fees or mark-ups, just the visa application fee. Therefore, it's the cheapest way to go.

You need a sponsor, which can be the hotel you plan to use.

    Russian Embassy website:

However, best for you is probably to use a real travel agency here you live to arrange the trip and the visa.

Read through the info on the State Department website:
