Why is Trump unable to save all those GM jobs?

Trump is a really bad, crooked, deceptive businessman. Everything he touches withers and dies. He says he only trusts his gut but when things go bad he blames his staff.

Well, what did people expect when all of Trump's business went bankrupt. He had to go begging to Russia for loans because the American banks blackballed him. The US banks blackballed him because he lied about having assets that would have covered his loans if he defaulted. (The Art of the Steal: How Trump lost 916 million dollars and never paid taxes.

Trump's response to the critics of his evil deeds and outrageous behavior is to attack the news media and rule of law. If we don't have checks and balances we have a damaged culture and no democracy. Every week there is another mass shooting and yet, Trump campaigns for fascist haters who promote acts of violence. Like the horrible Cindy woman in Mississippi.

It is not the President's job to save jobs. Blame GM for failing to sell their products.

GM decided to close those production facilities because the vehicles were not selling well in today's markets. GM claims it is too costly to reconfigure those factories for the production of other product lines, and they have completely dropped those products.

That is what happens when a Giant Corporation makes poor marketing choices. GM Failed to do their future planning properly. Trump had nothing to do with their bad decision making.

But Trump will pressure GM to rethink their just a bad "solution". Let's see how that turns out.

It is likely the Volt failed because GM could only sell it to those who love massive Government Subsidies financed by the confiscation of tax dollars from those who knew those cars would become failures. Blame California and the Democrats for that error in applications of logic. GM is a victim of Obama.

He has blown the budget and not enough borrowed Chinese funds left

he couldn't invent a time machine and get the previous administration to require GM to use some of that bailout money on viable electric and hybrid models...instead of handing it all to union bosses to refill their pension funds...

you know... the pension funds stripped by those same union bosses to buy elections and political favors from that administration and its allies...
