any places that offer mortgage assistance when you're behind?

somewhere i don't have to refinance my loan

Update:

If you're going to be disrespectful don't even reply! I don't need to refinance my loan but need help making a monthly payment. I work 40 hours a week like every other american in this country and a single parent. I do the best i can and pay taxes like everyone else does. Just because i need help doesn't make you any better than me

If you are serious, you are delusional. Your bills are YOUR problem. When you can't pay the mortgage, the house is foreclosed on and you are evicted. I suggest you get a second job and keep the payments current. If you have to rent a room, do it. Whatever you have to do. You also might consider selling the house and buying a smaller one - one you can afford.

No, there are no programs like that. If you can't afford your house, consider selling it.

The best place to go is to your mortgage lender and make an aggreement to catch up with what you owe so you don't get further behind, otherwise you will end up with them forclosusing on your house and losing lots of money

what do you expect them to do, give you a pile of money? forgive all the late payments? sorry hon, the mortgage companies want their money. so you need to refi and get a lower mortgage payment that you can pay.
