people invented gods after they gave up trying to answer tough questions
there is no evidence any gods exist.
Taste is habit, conditioning. Would you really enjoy the taste of an animals muscle tissue if you walked up to it and took a bite out of it?

There's no god, allah or whatever. I've heard that out of all meats/animals humans ate, people taste the best.

God did not intend us to consume animals because in the garden of Eden there was no death or slaughtering, Adam and Eve were vegan. He certainly did not intend us to confine them in factory farms and load them with antibiotics. Gods original plan was for us to eat from trees not animal flesh. Jesus message was one of love and compassion yet there is nothing compassionate or loving about factory farming and slaughterhouses where billions of animals live miserable lives and die bloody, violent deaths.Jesus mandates love, mercy and compassion he would be appalled by the degree of suffering we inflict on animals to indulge our acquired taste for meat. Christians have a choice when they sit down to eat, they can add to the level of violence, misery and death in the world or we can respect his creation with a vegan diet.
In the bible Proverbs: Be not among the wine bibbers nor the riotous eaters of animal flesh.

I'm with M'aiq... On this one.
The only thing I'd add is that vegans don't mainly claim we "aren't supposed to eat animals" but that there is no nead to eat animals and that there is something wrong with breeding and rearing animals, all of whom have feelings, simply to kill them.

1. We aren't "supposed" to do anything. Nobody of any higher, infallible authority ordered you or me or anybody to eat meat.
2. Why would god create animals to feel pain and be able to suffer and then compel us to hurt them? Does that sound right?
3. Which god? Where is this god? I've been meaning to speak to who's in charge here for awhile. Id like to speak to this guys manager..
