Sure, you just cannot hide $30k in there and not tell the bankruptcy court.

I doubt any bank will close your checking account over a bankruptcy, They close them if you owe them money and won't pay. If you screwed them on a car loan, they might close it out of spite. But only if it was the same bank. Not another.
