Catholics had icons for almost 400 years before the bible was compiled by Catholics.

You say that like it's a bad thing! Polytheism is very pragmatic in an empire. The Roman imperial religion included deities from all over the empire, and acknowledging them all was an act of citizenship. The Roman church continued this tradition: Every local deity could become a saint, every different philosophy could be sanctified, every profession granted an appropriate day off. The Buddha was canonised https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barlaam_and_Josaph... History could have taken a different course if a pope had canonised "Saint Mohammed".
These many and varied traditions contained a huge range of scenes and motifs to inspire great works of art.
I must be getting old, I'm starting to say nice things about religion

orthodoxy = the only true faith; every other faith = pagan by definition.
people didn't see Creator before, but then He incarnated (hence, we saw Him); hence, the icon (depiction of Him).
orthodox icons are inspired from the Holy Spirit.
non-orthodox icons are drawn from people; passions of these people transfer to u if u pray to these icons.
icon of antichrist = tv sceen = iphone screen = computer screen.
if u look into eyes of orthodox icon, then energy goes ur way and u get healed (according
to saint pelageya of ryazan). forgive me

LOL. Every one is a pagan if they don't believe in my religion. That's the logic of all religions.

No, They are Trinitarians who worship Jesus as God. The icons, Frescoes and Mosaics were originally for teaching the illiterate the Bible stories.
A Pagan would worship the statue as God or actual Saint. Catholics do not "worship" Mary or the saints they revere them as faith objects on how to live their lives for God. Art for religious purposes is not paganism.

If you knew the definition of "worship" you wouldn't have asked that silly question. Consult a dictionary before embarrassing yourself further.
