She is royalty; he is not. And he has tasteless gold decor surrounding him in every place he owns.

The piano was made by Erard – the French firm whose instruments were famously used by Chopin, Liszt, Mendelssohn and Wagner. And it was made in 1856, during the reign of Queen Victoria and given to Queen Victoria on 30 April 1856, 70 years before this Queen was even born.

That piano is from the 19th century, and it doesn't belong to the Queen. It came with the residence, which is, to remind people, a bonafide palace. I believe it belonged to the era of Queen Victoria. I'm sure the present Queen considers it a piece of furniture, alongside the gold-inlaid tables and the rich tapestries. Prince George and Princess Charlotte take piano lessons, but you can be sure they wont be practicing on that relic. Again, none of the furnishings belong to the Queen.
