Both. It's mainly brainwashed into them and it becomes a virtue signal. They tend to go with the flow and saying you like socialism makes you different, or that you are this deep thinker of current events. When in reality, it's the furthest thing from the truth.

Socialism is communism according to Marx. It's up to you to educate your friends and generation on the good of capitalism and the bad of socialism. It's your future.

people who view socialism in america .....have no real idea what their talking about due to being to young and being a sheep following someone who "sounds smart" but either knows the true facts or just dumb....socialism will work in small countries that have used the system for years....america is way too big and wouldbring the country into 3rd world status.......alot of these millenials just dont get it,they want everything for free...yet dont understand tht their paychecks will be way smaller than they are these days,that like in most socialist places wait times for hospitals can be up to 10 months..even for cancer type surgerys....and thats in low populatuion type country,s..not 320 million plus like america...then imagine what will happen to our doctors who will not want to get paid lower than they are.....they also want free college...and to get rid of already college depts......but what will happen is every teen will want to go to college and just like it is know..they will waste space and timend just party and not care about grades,take non sense easy class,s and fill schools sowhen areal student wants a good education...their will be chance it wont happen......our national debt is around 21.6 trillion ...the cost of socialism for just free medical would be round 20 trillion for 10 yrs......we cant pay the 21 trillion,so where would the money comefrom for free helthcare....peoplewho wnt socialismhave norcare about what will happen to our economy.....they will not belive it wont work...millenils have a good chance of brining america down due to be stupid and sheeps.......their #1 gal ocasia is proof of that she has no real idea how politics work...yet millenials are praisng her as some savior...and when they do understand what socialism brings.....it will be too late...and our rich wil ljump ship to other countries and leave america poor and broken.......they will not accept the facts....just what they want to hear............

If YOU knew anything about "basic economics" you'd realise that the cons are robbing you blind! What you need is socialism to even the ever-widening gap between ordinary people and the obscenely rich!

It's quite strange how Americans just view socialism as simply an ideology of young American hipsters. They really underestimate what they're dealing with. You are dealing with an ideology that has lead to the overthrow of multiple governments and had controlled half the globe only a few decades ago. Maybe take it a bit more seriously? If you seriously wanted to combat it, it'd help to at least learn what it even is.

It's hip? Laissez-Faire Capitalism was formulated around the late 1700s and Socialism about a century later. It's only "hip" when compared to Agrarian Economics of 14th century Western Europe.

I'm not a young person but I've seen Republicans cause three major recessions in my lifetime, and never a Democrat.
