We can only hope. Its just what the country needs to cheer us up when we are all so depressed about the upcoming Brexit.

No of course not, the investigation has not been completed yet, it could be the other drivers fault for all we know.

Of course he won't. That's just not going to happen. In any case I'm not aware that driving while senile is a known driving violation. It would be Dangerous Driving (we don't know who caused the accident yet, and may never know) or Driving Without Due Care (which could be applied to either driver?). DD would mean his Licence is immediately taken away - if that will stop the silly man. Without Due Care would mean a fine and points..... again who knows if he'd comply with that. I've lost respect there now, where I had some initially.

@ MM. I'm very far from that - and even less so after the reports this morning!!

No. In fact, if you are judged senile, you can do all sorts of things. That Lord Janner was able to get away with raping small boys and things and still retain a job making laws for the rest of us, while apparently too gaga to stand trial.

Of course he won't. Even if the police and CPS were foolhardy enough to bring about a prosecution, the Queen would drop it. And if (impossible as it may seem) it got to court and resulted in a custodial sentence, the Queen would just issue a pardon. Don't imagine for one moment that Sir Prince Philip is treated the same as the rest of us.

No but he will be required to wear a tag and be confined to home, which isn't as bad as it sounds. Just walking from one room into the next, requires him to pass through two different counties
