Why did the Metropotitan Police destroy CCTV footage that proved Prince Albert Victor was Jack the Ripper?

Let's see here... Jack the Ripper did his murders in 1888.  The first experimental video recordings occurred in the 1910s through the 1930s.  The first CCTV camera came out in 1949.  So the obvious conclusion is that it's a conspiracy and the lizard people are definitely involved.

Because tv was't around in 1888, so there was no CCTV.

There was no CCTV when Jack the Ripper was around. There was no tv. There were very few cameras, and they required the subject to stand still for several minutes, in bright light, to get an image.
