The Queen is talking about respect and common ground, clearly referring to Brexit, is this her attempt at playing politics?

Voting for Brexit was the biggest mistake you Brits have made in a long time.

Undoubtedly she was pressurised into saying something. Most likely to avoid the scenario that could arise if no decision is made to prorogue Parliament. That WOULD involve her in politics which, one assumes, she would wish to avoid.

No, showing respect and finding common ground is just common sense, whatever she was referring to.

But, if you want to relate it to Brexit ..

Jeremy Corbin is the one who needs to show respect

    and

Theresa May is the one who needs to find common ground.

    No it is common sense.

I think she's trying to encourage everyone to play nice and come to some sort of civilized and productive agreement. She's allowed to advise and warn (and to be consulted). Encouragement would fall into the category of "advising".

Slightly naïve of her, when its clear that both sides hate each other. She should have done more when she and Cameron had their chat and he told her what he was up to.

Nah, she needs to be impartial and is being purposefully ambivalent. Her comments hardly condone one stance or party over another.

No. Just talking about common courtesy.

It's a sad reflection of the state of the world when calling for respect and trying to find common ground is seen as a political stance.
