    As a Jew I certainly do not need the Pope. But a Catholic would probably answer the question differently.

    Obviously nobody does except Catholics, as his only relevance to anything is that he is head of the Catholic Church.

    Catholics need him because he is the earthly head of the church; he is our spiritual leader. All religions have someone who leads them. Non-Catholics don't NEED the pope.

    Why would humanity need a pope. For what reason. He doesnt bring one single thing to the party
