    Americans decided this over 100 years ago.

    The American author Upton Sinclair wrote about the filth and the atrocities at meat packing plants where sick, diseased, cancer-ridden animals were slaughtered and sold to the public.

    So, yes. ALL AMERICANS FEEL THEY HAVE A RIGHT TO SAFE FOOD and it is the duty of their government to ensure it.

    And the, there are Libertarians who just don't care what they eat.

    Producing unsafe food is mass poisoning and the people responsible should be charged with attempted murder at least.
