I was just curious if it would be okay to let people meet me while I am at work to pay for and pick up stuff they buy from me or is that unsafe?

A whole lot of employers will fire an employee running their own private business out of their shop.

You don't say whether it's your business or your working for some one else.if it's your business it's fine but if your working for someone else and running a little side business of your own then it's not ok.
