Trying to remember a late 80s/90s song that a female sang - see description for more information?

Okay, so this is been killing me for three days and I know I don’t have much to go on so just bare with me.

All I can remember from the beginning is a women singing “oooh sha nana nana na na. .” in a down beat but yet sings fast. Which makes me believe that this was possibly a dance and/or love song. The singer puts me in mind of Bonnie Raitt or Gloria Estefan (it’s neither of these). Reminds me of Congo with Miami Sound Machine but that’s not it either. And please- no smart a$$ remarks this is frustrating enough.

Update:

Keandra found it ~ not The Lord Humungus and it won't let me change it :'(

This sounds like a typical Sheryl Crow or Edie Brickell song.

I'd help more, but the minute I tried to sing your phrase, I got In Praise of Sha Na NA by the Dead Milkmen stuck in my head.

I have no idea what connects Bonnie Raitt with Gloria Estefan in your mind, but if I were to mistake a singer for Bonnie Raitt, it might be Joan Osborne, who hit in the early nineties and seemed to be a nonsense phrase user as well.

Is it Live For Loving You by Gloria Estefan? It popped up in my mind when I read your question:
