If the royal family are as blameless and as honest as the royalists tell us they are, why aren't they more popular.?

I'd have to agree with SPK, believe it or not. I am in favour of a monarchy vs having a President (especially one particular President!) but I'm also aware of their FAULTS.

Royalists are capable of seeing the royals with their flaws; it seems to be the republicans who have to polarize everything.

But they do appear more genuine than virtually all elected politicians, which is why they are more popular.

I am a Royalist but, I don't think that they are blameless or honest.. I just happen to believe that a constitutional monarchy is the best system for the U.K.

Because we are no longer brainwashed into believing it's their god given right to rule.

Well it isn't their fault about how it started but I'd have more respect if they'd recognise that it is unjust and that maybe when they die it shouldn't continue but they have every intention of continuing to pass stolen money and assets down. They used to be a lot more popular, now they are unpopular but everyone is busy with their own things and since nobody is getting sent to the tower any more it's just meh. I think eventually the royal family will be abolished but it will take a long time.
