Extremely. A wedding ring represents lifetime commitment to one woman.

it is very valuable - it is a solitary big round diamond. i like to flaunt it because it is expensive

Meh. I'm more fashion forward so I wouldn't wear it every day if it clashed with my outfit. I also don't know how expensive I want it as I am prone to losing things and wouldn't want to stress over jewelry. My boyfriend and I are pretty relaxed and rings and weddings aren't a big deal. We trust and love each other don't need a paper or $20 000 party to prove it lol

However I would DEFINITELY take pics in a rented wedding dress just so it looks nice around the house if I got married at the registry shop or something.

I don't enjoy wearing jewelry of any type. It is irritating to me.

personally, the ring is symbolic. the relationship itself is more important. i used to be a server in a restaurant and had an elderly regular couple who, when the husband went in for surgery, they had to remove his ring from his hand and he said they were going to buy a new ring because this one had lost its meaning. it was supposed to be that his wife put it on him and she took it off when he passed. since a doctor took it off him, it had lost its meaning. i think that's a bit too far, personally.
