You surely would not have been given the job with the English grammar you use!

It was with a good person, but I knew I did not have the job as soon as I was seen by her and that kind of shook me a bit. Still stayed and did my best. She's friends of church friends/acquaintances, related to them. So I'm not really surprised there would be better candidates.

I need income, but God wants me to stay home. So I know I'm wasting my time at interviews anyway.
