Consiider the equation ax^2+bx+c= 0 . If the value of b^2-4ac is positive there will be what kind of root?

    Two real and rational roots, if b^2 - 4ac is a perfect square; two real and irrational roots otherwise.

    There are two distinct roots.

    If the coefficients (a, b, and c) are real, then the roots must be real.

    But note that if at least one coefficient is not real, then one or both roots might be non-real.
