Does adding vodka to tomato soup really make a bloody mary?

Is it really that simple? And if that be the case should it be served hot or chilled?

Tomato soup and vodka would not make a good Bloody Mary. No, it is not that simple. A good Bloody Mary is tomato juice, vodka, a splash of Worcestershire sauce, a couple drops of hot sauce, with a sprinkle each of black pepper and celery salt.

Uhhh, no. Adding a dash of hot sauce, some celery flavor and vodka to tomato JUICE is the base for a decent bloody mary. It should have some spice, and no soup chemicals.

Of course not. A Bloody Mary contains tomato JUICE.

I cannot think of anything worse than pouring some vodka into my Campbell's tomato soup. A bloody mary is made with cold tomato JUICE and vodka. Not my favorite drink, but I can drink one now and then.
