How do you save images off Firefox?

I find an image left click 'save image as...' and it always saves to a WEBP file. I have windows 10 and is unreadable by any program.

    Firefox saves the image as whatever the image is. If the image is a WEBP then it will save it as a WEBP. If you don't like that, probably the easiest way to deal with it is just to right-click the image and click "copy" and then go to something like MS Paint and paste it into it, then save it as whatever format you want.

    open with Firefox.

    it is a web picture, hence the need for a web browser.
