How would I get a job in repairing or climbing cellphone towers in Illinois?
I was wanting to get a job in repairing cellphone towers installing lights of towers or generally just climbing and reparing anything on tall building as I enjoy doing it. Thank you 😀

Certified training is available at WesSpur.com and I'd recommend Illinois Union Halls
in trades like Ironworkers who go high. Bridge painters are good hires.

If you're asking here you do not have the intelligence for the work!
Besides which 99.9% of the work is carried out whilst your on the ground or no more than ten feet off it.
And remember if your caught climbing those towers it is a federal offence carrying a penalty of possible life in prison for sabotage in these days of terrorism

Wow. The whole internet at your disposal and you come here, with this?
1. Try calling a fricken cell phone company and talk with HR.
2. Look in the help wanted section - find a tower job - and call and ask them to email you the qualification.
3. Do a yahoo search on cell tower technician qualifications.
Most cell towers are not tall enough to require aircraft warning lights. Fixing those lights is not big deal. Knowing how to put new Andrew connectors on the cell tower antennas, and, align them with the antennas at other towers is. Knowing how to repair and align the transmitters and receivers in the little hut at the base of the tower is important too.
