I thought it was pretty good. The original was a TV miniseries made on a TV budget with the constraints of broadcast TV. the remake was definitely made with a theatrical budget and could do more. I found it scarier.
The second movie is scheduled for release on September 6.

Eh it was okay just more cgi than the original.
