It would be a political coup, and totally illegal.

Impeachment is always political because all it does is remove a person from office.

Impeachment is both a legal and legislative process, so both apply and neither can be excluded. Therefore it must be both, quod erat demonstratum.

Look at every precedent and you will see this is the case.

The House begins the process, which is political. The Senate then holds hearings, that is legal.

So when the Democrats refer to impeachment being too political (like they have over the weekend), they are lying again. They know the House of Representatives begins the process, which is run by political reasons.

You know what's most pathetic? It's not that liberals are consistently wrong, but that even though they are very clearly wrong, they still insist they weren't.

Impeachment is at its heart a political process, with rules that some might consider legalistic.

But don't worry, Democrats want Trump in office to run against. They will never attempt to impeach him.
