How bad is British crime?
I’m from South Africa (Joburg) and I’m visiting Everton for a few months.
Of course crime in SA is worse that in the UK but in the UK I won’t be able to deal with it in the same way (being armed and driving everywhere).
Would it be okay to walk around at night or not recommend? Etc.

Haha why are you visiting Everton?! I’m from Liverpool and while it’s a great city with many things to see and do Everton is not one of them. The main thing to do are in the city centre, Everton is just a suburban residential area (and it is rough). Sorry this has just made me giggle being from the city, I’ve never heard anyone say they’re visting Everton.

Most crime is in the poorer estates, if you use a bit of common sense your very unlikely to
have any problems.

There is crime in the uk, but unlike SA, it is often not obvious to the average person, taking sensible precautions, such not walking around late at night after the pubs have closed, around 11pm onwards.

It depends where you are. The rougher poorer areas of large cities are the main high crime areas and the majority of victims are young. I have no problem about walking at night but I stick to busy strees rather than dark empty streets.

Certainly nowhere near as bad as where you are. It's a very safe country. Just be sensible and don't wander around late at night, really.

Depends on where you are planning to walk around at night........ Everton is an inner-city area located just north of Liverpool city centre so if you are going to be hanging around on street corners all night or aguing with people you will find trouble sooner or later, if you are walking to the pub, going for a meal then like anyone else don't get drunk and don't wander down unlite streets as there will be drunks around .and behaving like a toug h guy (being armed and driving everywhere) some could take offence

Walk around where at night ? where are you going. People still go out to pubs and shops that are open late. The evenings are light until nearly 10pm during the summer.
I don't think any of us go out for a walk in the dark unless it is our dogs last wee.
