How do I know when God is talking to me . Or when it's my own thought ?

G*D NEVER talks to anybody, except the "Gifted", and of course G*D's representative on earth, aka the Pope.

I for one, being pagan, would not believe anyone who claimed to have "talked" to G*D. Including the Pope.

Good question, but there is no easy answer. Basically through practice and getting to know God better, such as through study and prayer. That way you get better at learning to recognize your shepherd's voice (John 10:27).

God is always responding to you out of Mercy because He is a Merciful and Compassionate Lord.

God is the Responder, God hears you all the time, and He is the One who answers prayers. Please watch this short fascinating video in the comments.

My Allah is Al-Mujīb, The Fullfiller of Prayers, The Answerer of Prayers, The Responsive One. The One who is not inattentive to any creature of His.

My Allah is not inattentive to the huge creation to the smallest creation; Allah listen to the angels, in listening to the angels, Allah listens to mankind; in listening to mankind, Allah listens to the spirits; in listening to the spirits, Allah listens to the birds; in listening to the birds Allah listens to the horses in listening to the horses; Allah listens to the smallest creation..the insects.

My Allah never tires of the creation..never tires of listening, never tires of their problems and whatnot; Allah loves when one complains to Him alone and seeks goodness from Him alone. Allah loves supplication.

What makes you think God is never attentive or doesn't hear you? My Allah is Al-Sami, the One who is All-Hearing and my Allah is Al-Basir, the All-Seeing.

The One who answers prayers. The One who responds to needs. The One who penetrates through every obstacle in order to respond.

He is Al-Mujib, The One who responds to an invitation. The One who responds to requests, prayers and praise by means of gifts and acceptance.

And when Allah calls upon mankind, man is to respond to his Lord's call:

Allah, may He be exalted, says,

"When My servants ask thee concerning Me I am indeed close {to them}; I listen to the prayer of every suppliant when he calleth on Me; let them also with a will listen to My call and believe in Me; that they may walk in the right way." - 2:186

Nobody is able to know that, since gods are men creations. In other words, they are: FICTIONAL.

There is nothing I can say that will make it easy for you.

Just know when you are about to fake it. You shouldn't fake it. And a lot of Christians do.
