How do I get a full time job?
I got hired for 25-30 hours per week and ended up only getting 15-20 hours per week. I let them know I wanted more, I said I m even interested in full time. But so far nothing. I want to get a full time job but my co workers said you probably aren t going to be able to where I live. What do I do? What types of places should I apply to? Maybe one of the reasons I don t get many hours at my current job is because they usually are pretty slow.
I forgot to mention that I am only working minimum wage jobs now, but I'm fine with that because I'm pretty young.

Might want do 2 part time until you can find a full time.
Many prefer part time so they don't have to provide insurance.
Might want to further your education or work your way up in food.

If your contract says 25-30, you can make a formal complaint about them not giving you enough hours. Otherwise, in many places, transitioning from part to full time is usually a process. Ask your full time coworkers how they went about it and ask them to put in a good word for you.

Like many people, if the labor market is poor in your area, you may have to work 2 part time jobs. Sounds like you're working retail or food service. Most of those jobs tend to be part time. If you want something better, you need to bring some skills to the table.

Find a corporate job rather than a retail job. Retail jobs depends on how well you’re st your job. If you can get customers to spend a lot of money during your shift, you’ll be getting 40 hours a week. If customers aren’t spending during your shift then you’ll be getting less hours.
