Because leftists are not "pro-killing." They are pro-choice. They think it would be great if pregnant women choose life, but they don't think it is right to force that decision on women.

I don't think it's at all possible that a nation with as many people who want what America's 'pro-life' voters want, could EVER be in the top 30 nations of the world in average life expectancy.
