T/F, you have a deep fryer purposed only for frying?
I've met only one family that had one. They used it to make fries. If you don't, what else do you use? Or, do not even bother with deep frying?

True a deep frier is normally only used for deep frying. I don't use mine often but keeping the oil at the proper temperature is so much easier. Oil that gets too hot can be a fire hazard. I do fries but also home made potato chips, fried chicken, cat fish, and tempura are all "guilty pleasures".

I have three. A small cast iron stove top model with strainer basket for smaller meals. A ten quart commercial pan also with a strainer basket and my turkey fryer.

False. I don't have a deep fryer sole for frying. I use a large pot whenever I deep fry any food

when we did do deep frying, I used a deep kettle, a bulb thermometer, on the stove...no need for extra appliances although an electric deep fryer is nice.
Now, no one I know does any deep frying.

I don't think I do. I never go into the kitchen.
