How much does it cost to drill 1000 feet, 1500 feet deep? 2000 feet?

Depends entirely on the accessibility of the site and the type of ground you require drilling through. 2000 feet through earth and sedimentary rock with no caverns right next to a main road would be cheaper by at least an order of magnitude than 1000 feet through igneous rock, riddled with clefts, at the top of a remote mountain that is only reachable by helicopter.
