Wow...that Mueller press conference was bad for Trump.?

Why was it bad for Trump?

Mueller said no more than he said in the report and the report says: "... the investigation did not establish that members of the Trump Campaign conspired or coordinated with the Russian government in its election interference activities."

So I think that rules out collusion.

As for obstruction, implying that the only reason he did not indict Trump was the "not indicting a sitting POTTUS" rule is just disingenuous. He NEVER says he did not indict BECAUSE of that rule but he tries his hardest to make you think that.

It is like me saying: "There is no way that I am driving my car down the road. I have rules about driving down pothole-ridden roads."

You might think that I said I am not going out in my car because of the potholes but I did not. I never said WHY I was not going out.

Mueller does the same. He just says that they did not indict and there are these rules about indicting sitting presidents. A subtle but crucial difference. AG Barr asked him the specific question about the rule and Mueller denied the connection.

It leaves many thinking that the "because" word was used but it was not. It merely places two ideas close together and leads you on to make that conclusion. Remember, the report was compiled by legal experts. They know EXACTLY what they are doing.

I'm watching some replay of commentary by right wing pundits on fox yesterday saying the same thing.

The trumplings cling to the slice of hope that he's innocent/won't get caught (enough) while the rest of us are frustrated/angry about trump's chronic evasive behavior and dishonesty.

Most trumplings are afflicted w/ extreme obstinacy. The last thing they want to do is admit they voted for a mistake. They will ride the trump plane afire until it crashes even though they have a parachute. Trump already insulted them as too unintelligent to reconsider support for him after he shot someone. That's some feeble minded people. These people embrace tribalism which is to say evil character or worse is acceptable if not encouraged ... just don't get caught to a degree where it hurts the tribe,
