are owls obligate carnivores like cats?

    Well I've never heard of any owls that survived eating leaves and grass - they only eat meat.

    Yes they are, but will also take advantage of a good bug. Don't feed an owl catfood though, very fresh raw meats or live insects. They also eat small reptiles and amphibians.

    Yes, they are predators, and only eat meat.

    Yes. They're birds of prey just like eagles, hawks, etc.

    Why would you ask a question that you could have found the answer to in two seconds online?

    Yes, they need the proteins from the meat, bone and marrow for calcium and other necessary water energy. They would not fare well on a grass seed, berry and corn diet, although they eat small mammals that survive on just grains.
