Can somebody tell me a good soda alternative that isn t water.?
I could go into my reasons for not doing water, but the only water people would still only say water. If I was to say water would kill me they would say no it won t you should drink water. So please respect the question. I am willing to give up my soda addiction, but I need something to replace it with. The reasons are to be healthier. I am starting to have pre diabetes, I dehydrate about every 5 yrs. I am not an active person So I need to make some changes. I am already saving up to get a treadmill, however I know most people that start exercising don t continue. So I am also looking at other things like getting rid of soda. However I look up online and it says milk, but I can t see milk traveling well or being drinkable a couple days outside of a fridge. So I look up Gatorade or other sports drinks, which from what I seeing is worse for you unless you are active. Then there is certain juices that are $8 a bottle. I have done water enhancers before, which doesn t have the same issues that I have with water, but they dye everything they are around. If it is doing that to water bottles what is it doing to my insides. Now I m not saying none of these are options. I m just giving you my take so it can help you help me.

Make your own mostly unsweetened iced tea. Get a box of tea bags of your choice and make a batch of brewed tea, let it cool to 70 degrees before putting it in the fridge in a 3lt or so and sweeten lightly with a little honey. You'll have a tasty treat that might have 64 calories per cup (vs 150 in Coke) all for a few cents. And not have to drive to buy $3-8 each poison that makes you fat and sick.
P.S., how do you make so much in one go? Saucepan.

Water keeps us alive. Making your body work so much to get the water it needs is being cruel to your body. I am not saying you should only drink water. The body is really good at extracting water from the foods we eat.
But the bigger question is why are you so messed up in your mind? Why have you allowed yourself to become so neurotic? I suggest you get a grip and sort your head out first. This inflexibility in the mind is a sure sign of other troubles.

It's hard to find something that's reasonably healthy drink - low sugar, no or low carbonation - I've looked for a long time and here's what I've found.
ICE - this is a delicious soda like drink that's sugar free and lightly carbonated. So it's a little better than soda but not a lot.
V8 Fruit juices - these are 100% juice, 'no added sugar', non gmo and such. They're sweet because of the fruit sugars but no corn syrup or artificial sweeteners. They have a light version that's extra low calorie. My fav flavors are Peach Mango and Berry Bliss but there are a lot of other flavors.
That's about it. Water enhancers are awful but I like a slice of citrus (I like orange best) or a few slices of cucumber. It's natural so no dyes or weird aftertaste. I like it cuz it's a very light flavor that just makes the water a little better but it's still water which really is the best thing for your body.

Flavored tea or black coffee. No sugar obviously. Peppermint or fruit tea is good cold with nothing added. You could carry that around in a thermos.

If its the sugar in soda that's an issue for you, have you tried the sugar free options? There's more and more options on the market these days that taste virtually identical to standard sodas, but with none of the calories.

If it's the bubbles you find hard to give up on try plain, carbonated water. It's usually the same price as the average soda. You can add flavour to it yourself by adding a few drops of lemon juice or by diluting fruit juice with it so you're not getting so much sugar per hit as regular soda, or even more refreshing, a fruit shrub (a kind of sweetened vinegar meant to be diluted as a summer drink). When it comes to sports drinks, there are different kinds. There are energy drinks designed to keep blood sugar up. You want to avoid those. There are also sports drinks purely designed to balance your electrolyte salts. You can drink these within reason.
