The Holocaust certainly did happen in history;there is proof from both the Axis and the Allies. Germany and some other countries have laws saying the Holocaust cannot be denied. Holocaust denial laws do not exist in the U.S.A.

The Holocaust was real but overly exaggerated. Most fled because of starvation and stuff. They are not necessary. These laws exist to control us.

Unfortunately, it's impossible to make ignorance and stupidity illegal. I wish it were. Denying well-documented, historical facts verges on insanity.

Hate speech and deliberately inflammatory, demonstrably false statements are not protected under the first amendment. The words "you're allowed to be an as*hat" don't appear anywhere in the constitution.

No US state has Holocaust denial laws. You must be talking about socialist European nations.

There are no laws in the US the prohibit holocaust denial. If there were such laws, they would indeed run afoul of the first amendment. There are such laws in Germany but Germany is not governed by the first amendment.

Freedom of speech is very important.

It is a basic human right.

I don't like what some people say, but they are saying what they think, so it's better to know what they are thinking by allowing them to speak, that way you know to stay away from such persons.
